Official Rules and Guidelines
About the Open Call
The Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management Program (AEMMP) record company at Columbia College is in search of a No.1 song in any genre for AEMMP Records catalog. All Columbia College Chicago (CCC) students and faculty members are eligible to participate. Open Call will begin May 5th and end May 16th.
Song Submission
Submissions must be well-constructed original songs that are consistent with industry Top 40 in any genre except instrumental. Songs will be judged on its potential to be a No. 1 song on the Billboard charts.
Judges
A select and prestigious panel of award winning industry professionals will judge the entries.
Selection
Selected songwriters will receive a publishing contract with AEMMP Records to write for present and future AEMMP recording artists. Chosen songs may be licensed for radio and television, as well as be selected for AEMMP Records’ 2008-2009 CD release album. Those selected will be notified through their contact email address by May 26, 2008.

- Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Participants must be a CCC student and/or faculty member.
- Participant must submit a current CCC identification card.
- One song is permitted per participant.
- Song must be an original, creative song written by the participant.
- Song must be in mp3 format and no longer than four (4) minutes in length
- Submissions must be placed in the designated box at the front desk of the AEMM office at 624 S. Michigan, 7th floor by no later than 5p.m May 16th.
