The progressive, dynamic Creative Arts Therapies Department offers graduate and undergraduate studies in the multidisciplinary fields of performing arts therapies, counseling psychology, arts in healthcare and movement studies. You’ll learn to become a leader in the professional application of the arts within credentialed practice. You can earn a Master of Arts in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling, a Minor in Arts in Healthcare, an Alternate Route Certificate in Dance/Movement Therapy, a Graduate Laban Certificate in Movement Analysis or a Movement Pattern Analysis Certificate.

This minor is offered to students currently enrolled in a major program in Art and Art History, Design, Photography, Theatre, Music, Dance or Creative Writing. Learn how to create, exhibit, and perform your art in a healthcare environment. You will learn how to develop and implement arts-based programming to positively impact consumers, providers and visitors of healthcare facilities and their surrounding environments. This minor provides excellent preparation for those interested in pursuing graduate degrees in therapy in the form of art, dance/movement, drama, music or poetry.
