WCRX 88.1 FM, the college’s radio station, hosts an annual food drive for the Greater Chicago Food Depository each December. Students broadcast the event live in front of the “Holly Jolly” trolley car and throughout campus to increase awareness of the community’s hunger problem.

During the past six years, WCRX has collected more than 3,000 pounds of food and raised more than $30,000 dollars for the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Our collective efforts have fed thousands of people during the holiday season.

Santa and Ms. Claus, area choirs and performers, face painters, local celebrities and city dignitaries, vocalists and musicians are all part of the broadcast to provide entertainment and attract donors from the college and business community.

The 2018 Holly Jolly Trolley event takes place on December 5, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
