IAM Transfer Students

Our curricula are carefully designed so that foundation and introductory courses provide necessary information and skills for later classes.  That building of skills continues through all of our courses, and is conceived so that courses may be taught at a certain level of sophistication without leaving anyone behind.

Because of the structure of pre-requisites, it may take you 3 or more years to complete a degree even if you have course credit from another institution.  Therefore, we ask that you take this into account in your planning for your expected date of graduation.

If you would like to investigate transferring credits from another institution that you think would duplicate or substitute for IAM's offerings in the major, please contact your advisor.  Transferring credits outside the major should be discussed with the Office of Transfer Evaluation.

Not every course in the catalog is taught every semester.  Some courses are taught less frequently than others, for a variety of reasons.  For example, some classes, especially upper level electives, may not have adequate enrollment to justify offering them every term.  In addition, student enrollment in classes affects whether a class will be taught ? a minimum number of students is required in order to offer a class, and if under-enrolled, the class must be cancelled.  The IAM website (see below) lists a typical schedule for what is offered in the fall spring terms.
