Academics
The Interactive Arts and Media department offers two major programs of study: Game Design and Interactive Arts and Media. Both majors share a common core. The IAM department also offers a Web Development Minor.
The Game Design major has four separate concentrations, with a plan of study specific to each concentration. Students who select the Game Design major are responsible for the IAM core. They must also complete the Game Design core, and all the requirements for a specific concentration of study in Programming, Game Development, Animation, and Sound Design.
Students who select the Web Development minor must also select a major field of study.
In addition, Columbia College Chicago requires certain classes for graduation (which include classes not taught by this department) . . .
