To realize their visions onscreen, the best directors need equal mastery of leadership, storytelling and production skills. As a master’s candidate in the Cinema Directing program, you’ll learn how to craft character-driven narratives, work with producers, lead a crew, and create diverse and authentic films grounded in the human experience. You’ll complete intensive study in screenwriting and direct your own scripts and those written by other writers. For your thesis project, you’ll develop and direct a short film.Learn more
Creative producers drive the cinema, television and interactive industries. As a master’s candidate in the Creative Producing program, you’ll learn how to find great material, navigate the marketplace, hire talent, juggle financial and legal issues, and deliver high-quality entertainment to audiences. You'll learn the entire filmmaking process, from acquisition through exhibition, and you’ll produce a short thesis film and develop a long-form narrative thesis that you’ll package in Los Angeles during the final five weeks of your coursework.Learn more
