Chuck Webb

As the owner of Earth Tone Enterprises, Chuck Webb writes and publishes songs for numerous recording artists. He has produced and composed scores for the major motion picture releases, How You Like Me Now!, Vacant Lot (airing on the BET film channel), Changing Man, and In Through the Out Door, which will be featured in major film festivals around the world. Upcoming projects include theme and score writing for the films Deeper Shade of Blue and Sweet Magnolia Dreams.

Chuck began his musical journey at the age of seven by studying violin. By the time he reached high school, he was skilled on clarinet, bass clarinet, piano, and his main instruments – the electric, acoustic, and synth basses. He has studied at the Chicago Conservatory College, and holds a BM degree in music merchandising from the University of Miami. Chuck is also a skilled audio engineer.

Webb has toured the world many times performing with such notable artists as David Sanborn, Grover Washington Jr., Ramsey Lewis, Joe Sample, Roy Ayres, Marlena Shaw, Phil Perry, Al DiMeola, Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Turrentine, and many others. As one of Chicago's top studio bassists, Chuck has performed on hundreds of records, commercial jingles and sound tracks. He is a member in good standing of the National Federation of Musicians, a writing and publishing member of ASCAP, and a voting member of NARAS.

In addition to being a prolific composer, musician, producer, and performer, Chuck Webb is also a dedicated father of three young children. Having spent two years at home schooling his kids, Chuck became increasingly aware of the need for innovative and fun educational materials for children ages 6-16. As commercial radio has begun to promote more and more pop and rap music which features and glamorizes drug use, sex, violence, and materialism, Chuck saw a desperate need for pop and hip hop music that would inspire and educate children in their formative years. With this in mind, he created the unique educational hip hop CD, Mind Games.
