Present senior recital
To All Seniors
Before graduation, you must complete a senior recital, execute a senior presentation, and submit your portfolio for faculty review, activities included in the courses Senior Music Seminar (32-3999) and Private Lessons: Senior Recital (32-3797).
In the semester previous to your graduation, enroll in Senior Music Seminar. In the course, you will plan your senior recital, complete your portfolio, and prepare a presentation based on the analysis of a selected musical work.
In your final semester, you will present a senior recital. Begin the registration process for Private Lessons: Senior Recital, by completing -with the help of your private teacher - the Private Lessons: Senior Recital Proposal Coversheet, available here. Ask your lessons instructor to sign the form, then hand-deliver the form, along with your recital proposal, to the Academic Manager, room MC 401. Once approval is secured, the Manager will register you in the course. (You should not enroll in another primary lesson concurrently.)
In cooperation with your primary lessons instructor, who will serve as your supervisor, you will produce a concert that presents your finest work to the public and to a faculty/industry panel. Only with the successful completion of the seminar and recital - along with all other degree requirements - will you graduate with a concentration in music.
