Take College-Level Courses

HSSI courses are taught by working artists in industry-standard classrooms, performance venues, labs and studios. Now’s your chance to get behind a camera, start your novel, design the perfect outfit or perform like no other. HSSI isn’t summer camp—it’s the start of your future.

Live on Our Beautiful Campus

Columbia is steps away from some of Chicago’s most iconic attractions: Buckingham Fountain, Millennium Park, Museum Campus, Magnificent Mile and countless other cultural destinations. Students living outside Chicago city limits can secure housing in one of our state-of-the-art residence halls. Housing costs also cover meals, planned city excursions, and evening and weekend activities.
