Art+Activism is a college-wide program which looks to foster artistic endeavors in the local community that are in alignment with Columbia College Chicago’s mission. In considering the ways in which an art practice can facilitate conversation and engage with timely issues, we offer various support to collaborative, student-powered projects that expand beyond the studio. We challenge our student artists to think about the ways in which creative energy can be utilized as thought-provoking advocacy for change.
What is available: There are various kinds of support available including: logistics assistance, identifying collaborators, marketing, promotion and up to $500 towards honorariums and certain expenses. Microfunding support is available to students as well as faculty/staff who are collaborating with students.
