  • Robert Deland. Two Cuban stock arrangements: “A la Rigola (Guaracha-Merengue)” by Mario de Jesus (Havana: Peer International, ca. 1958) and “Por tu Voz (Bolero-Mambo)” by Ramon Cabrera (Havana: Peer y Compañia, ca. 1952).
  • Dominique-René de Lerma. De Lerma, whose monumental Bibliography of Black Music (4 vols., Greenwood Press, 1981–1984) is a seminal work in the field of black music research, has now published A Videographic Register of Black Music and Musicians (La Casa Musicale de Lerma, 2012). The register lists videos of performances by musicians in all genres issued before 2000. It includes reissues of Hollywood films, releases by popular and classical musicians, and documentaries. It also includes a list of suppliers and an extensive index of performers’ names. The Register can be ordered from William Grant Still Music.
  • Reri Grist. Scores: Photo-offset copies of manuscript songs by Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson, including “A Child’s Grace,” “The Faithless Shepherdess,” “Melancholy,” and Song Cycle (“Serenade,” “Madrigal,” and “Lullaby”).
  • Evan Hatch. Three CDs: John Work III: Recording Black Culture (Spring Fed Records SFR-104), Discovery: The Rebirth of Mississippi John Hurt (Spring Fed Records SFR-108), and The Fairfield Four Revival (Spring Fed Records SFR-109).
  • Phoebe Jacobs. Book: NEA Jazz Masters 30th Anniversary, 1982–2012 (Washington, D.C.: National Endowment for the Arts, 2012) plus the program for President Ronald Reagan’s presentation of the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Eubie Blake (1981) and other programs and materials for her collection.
  • Zinaida Kartasheva. About one inch of materials on jazz scholarship in Russia, including her own writings, and a copy of Dzhaz.Ru No. 6/7 (2009), a magazine on “everything about jazz in Russia.”
  • John N. Migliaccio. DVD of presentation by Irma Thomas at the 2011 Gerontological Society of America meeting; flyer for the 2011 American Society on Aging presentation featuring Alvon Johnson and his All-Star Band and Johnson’s CD Guitars & Cars (Pig Heaven Records, unnumbered) for the Bo Diddley Track collection.
  • Jeannie G. Pool. Ca. two feet of manuscript scores of composer Zenobia Powell Perry (donated jointly with Janis-Rozena Peri) plus a microfilm of newspapers from Boley, Oklahoma, 1905–1926, with information on musical activities.
  • Godwin Sadoh. His book: Joy Nwosu Lo-Bamijoko: The Saga of a Nigerian Female Ethnomusicologist (Bloomington: iUniverse, 2012).
  • Juanita Smith. Seven reel-to-reel tapes of class lectures by Melba Liston in Hale Smith’s black studies classes at the University of Connecticut in 1971, 1973, and 1982, plus excerpts from Liston’s “The Marijuana Affair” conducted by Hale Smith, 1975. (Donation made through Randy Weston.)
