TEN Panel Discussion
Examining the Role of Teaching Artists in Chicago and their Impact on Arts Education
February 5, 2009, 4:30-6pm
Columbia College Chicago Library, 3rd Floor East

This panel will explore the following questions:
  • What is a teaching artist?
  • How do long-term relationships with youth become transformative experience for the artist?
  • What are the long-term implications of teaching artists supporting themselves by working with young people in classrooms and community-based settings?
Paul Teruel, CCAP’s director of Community Partnerships, will moderate the panel discussion. Panelists include Columbia College Chicago faculty and students Khanisha Foster, Chris Holmes and Cecil McDonald, Jr.

The panel discussion is being presented in conjunction with CCAP’s exhibition, TEN.
