Located on the 8th floor of the 600 S. Michigan building, the Center for Instructional Technology provides leadership in exploring and promoting new technologies that will enhance teaching and learning at Columbia College. The Center supports faculty and staff in the creative implementation of technology across the curriculum. Some of these activities include workshops, discussion groups and forums, the Technology Fellows program, individual faculty projects, support for interdisciplinary collaborations, web-related services, and support for distance learning.
Currently, our classroom (Room 811F in the 600 S. Michigan building) is a Mac-based facility in which students work on 17" Apple MacBook Pro laptops, equipped with a comprehensive suite of high-end software programs. The classroom can hold up to 10 students. We do accept students on a waiting list, and we will email you if a spot opens up.
Feel free to schedule a visit with us in person, or visit our web site at: www.colum.edu/cit to learn more about our workshops, fellowships, and other programs.
