Critical Encounters in the Classroom

While there is absolutely no mandate or requirement that the faculty must include the Critical Encounters Focus into any specific course, the faculty is encouraged to consider where and how they enter critical conversations in the classroom, how they encourage such dialogues among their students and what sort of impact these conversations have on teaching and learning.

Below are some resources to aide faculty members with assignment ideas and making connections with other faculty who have already included HIV&AIDS in their course curriculum.  Faculty Development Opportunities presents some of the deliberate ways we will support discussion of the Critical Encounters Focus on pedagogical and professional levels throughout the school year.
