How will Critical Encounters be supported?

As a cooperative, collaborative venture, each school, institute, center, department and program is encouraged to consider how Critical Encounters may become a part of current programming.  The idea is not to create a new budget, but rather to use Critical Encounters to guide conversations for the kinds of events and performances that are already planned and funded.

Even so, Critical Encounters boasts a couple specific funding sources to help support this initiative:

  1. Six Critical Encounters Mini-Grants for Students/Student Groups of $500 each
  2. Six Critical Encounters Mini-Grants For Faculty/Departments of $500
In addition, The Center for Teaching Excellence and the Center for Instructional Technology will be instrumental in providing support for instructors in integrating and organizing Critical Encounters in the Classroom, a year-long series of faculty development sessions.
