Mexican contemporary dance is being sharply redefi ned by Delfos Danza Contemporanea co-directors Claudia Lavista and Victor Manuel Ruiz, two artists relentlessly striving for new dance forms. The company was founded in 1992, winning Mexico’s National Contemporary Dance award the same year. Today, Delfos is recognized as one of the most important contemporary dance companies in Latin America. With a repertoire rich in passion and velocity, Delfos is known for their high-energy yet fully articulated style, fast and free of constraint.

Dancers will engage in aspects of Delfos’s technique, exploring relationships between and the management of energy and body dynamics. Working with specific impulses, focus will be on the generation of more organic and free flowing movement, as well as extensive consciousness of the body in relation to tridimensional space.
