Zoe Beloff Visiting Artist Lecture + Reception

Zoe Beloff visited Columbia College where she presented a lecture on some of her latest interdisciplinary work, and had studio visits with graduate students. Beloff, a Professor in the Departments of Media Studies and Art at Queens College CUNY, works with a wide range of media including film, projection performance, installation, and drawing. Each project aims to reanimate the past so that it might illuminate the future in new ways. She is currently exploring utopian ideas of social progress. Her most recent project, The Days of the Commune: a work in progress, which she is undertaking in solidarity with Occupy Wall Street, explores utopian ideas of social progress.
