The Press, Consumers, and the Music Business*

Students explore popular music and rock criticism through reading, writing and discussion. Course focuses historical aspects of rock and its criticism. Course explores the relationship between the press and the musical work's production, marketing, and promotion. Instruction focuses on expression of critical commentary in a succinct style that is accessible to consumers. [Elective] [Required for Music Business]
