The American Sign Language Department Hosts Celebration Service for Former Adjunct Faculty Member Patricia Coco Phadke

The American Sign Language Department is hosting a celebration service for former adjunct faculty member Patricia Coco Phadke, who passed away on September 7 at age 57. The Phadke family and ASL department faculty and staff will celebrate her legacy at this event in honor of her life and service as an educator and Chicago Deaf community member. The event serves to kick-off a campaign to raise gift funds for the Patti Coco Phadke Memorial Lecture Series and fellowship projects centered on ASL and Deaf Studies.

It’s open to the Columbia community as well as Chicago’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Interpreters will be on hand for the service.
