Virb

Virb, your new best friend

The Portfolio Center continues to partner with Virb.com to offer portfolio website accounts that are both easy to set up for inexperienced users yet offer advanced features for advanced users. Beginning in December 2013, 12-month free Virb accounts will be available to all current Columbia students, faculty, and staff. * At the end of 12 months, each account owner will have the option to continue his or her Virb website at a special discounted rate ($8 per month). At that time, you may continue your site indefinitely (at the discounted rate) or simply terminate the account.

To qualify for the Columbia Virb discount, you must be a current student, faculty, or staff member at Columbia College Chicago. To start your Virb website students will need to use their @loop.colum.edu email address. Faculty and staff will need to use their @colum.edu email address.

*All students, faculty, and staff who currently have a Virb account will be issued an automatic, free 12-month credit in December 2013 that will follow the rules described above.
