M.A., DePaul University School for New Learning. Brian is a Professor in the Theater Department and teaches acting, physical theater, theater history and community-based performance. He has been an adjunct, artist-in-residence, staff member, and was hired as tenure-track faculty in 1998. He coordinates community-based and international programs in the Theater Department. Brian is an actor and director and is a founding member of Plasticene Physical Theater, with which he has worked since 1995. His ‘governance’ includes 8 years as Associate Chairperson of Theater; partnership work with community arts organizations; interdisciplinary work with colleagues in Dance, Film, Fiction, AEMM, Audio Arts and Television; as well as work in the not-for-profit arts sector. He has served on and/or chaired numerous CCFO committees including the ERC, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs and the SFPA Curriculum Committee.
