Professor, Department Chair,
Michael has been at the Columbia College for 27 years and along the way has been an adjunct, full-time, non-probationary, assistant professor, associate professor then a real professor as well as assistant chair and chair of his department. He has been on many committees, some that mattered and some that, in his words, didn’t; and he has a certificate to prove he was a member of the first curriculum committee.
Michael looks at being a senator much as he did being on that first curriculum committee: one of those occasions where participating really matters for the life of the college.
Outside of his family and the life of his department, he is writing and doing research in the area of Transmedia and conspiracies.
