Pegeen Reichert Powell

Pegeen Reichert Powell has been at Columbia College Chicago since 2007, and earned tenure in 2011.  Pegeen helped write the Bylaws for the Columbia College Faculty Senate and brings to the senate both experience teaching at several institutions and a history of activism on college campuses around issues such as improving family-friendly benefits for faculty and staff. 

As faculty in the English Department, Pegeen teaches in the first-year writing program, with a particular interest in teaching basic writing. She also mentors English Department graduate student instructors. Her current research interests include the issue of retention in higher education.
