Columbia College Chicago’s High School Summer Institute is an intensive three-week program offering college-level courses specifically tailored for high school students interested in exploring the arts, media and communications fields.
HSSI courses are uniquely designed by Columbia faculty to challenge you to explore your creative ideas and develop the technical skills to bring them to life, all while earning college credit. From the very first day of class, you’ll get hands-on experience in the creative field of your choice. At the end of the three weeks, you’ll have creative work to add to your portfolio and show off to family, friends and the Columbia community at the HSSI Showcase.
Admission to the High School Summer Institute is open to students who will have completed their sophomore, junior or senior year of high school in 2015 and have not yet matriculated to college.
