I started playing guitar on a whim. I had just enough money to buy an electric guitar (no amp, case, cables or picks) and so at the age of 14 for no particular reason I bought a Gibson. It wasn't long before I had began practicing at least 2-4 hours a day. It took a while for me to save up for an amp but eventually I had enough gear. I taught myself at the beginning but after about six months I sought a teacher. I bounced around from teacher to teacher for a little while until I found John Moulder a Chicago Jazz aficionado. I studied with him through high-school and even in College when I had the chance.
I went to Columbia College where I received a degree in Jazz performance studying under the late Frank Dawson and the current head of fret board studies Bill Boris. While at Columbia I also began pursuing classical guitar under the tutelage of Norman Ruiz. It is now 10 years since I began playing and music hasn't lost any of it's alluring mystique for me.
