Where did you receive your undergraduate education? Lynn University Florida.

Where did you receive your postgraduate education? I was under full scholarship at the Juilliard School for master degree.  Artist Diploma at Manhattan School of Music.

What is your hometown? Shanghai, China.

What is your preferred age to teach? 8-20.

What is your preferred student level to teach? Intermediate to advanced.

How long have you been at Sherwood? I started in February 2011.

What do you want to impart to your students through your teaching? Cultivate the minds of students and help them to develop into well-rounded, responsible individuals.

Are there specific methods/ techniques that you use in your teaching that may be important to share with new students? I do not have a specific method to teach all my students, since everyone is unique.

What do you most enjoy about teaching? Helping students overcome difficulties to achieve their musical goals and facilitate growth in students.

Describe your musical pursuits outside of Sherwood. I am a member of the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra and I also frequently play with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Please describe one of your favorite teachers or mentors. My mother - She was my first violin teacher.  She always encourages me and believes in me.

Who is your favorite composer or what is your favorite musical period? Mahler and Strauss

About you: I enjoy reading, cooking and playing tennis in addition to playing violin.
