Donna Seaman is a senior editor for Booklist. The recipient of the James Friend Memorial Award for Literary Criticism, several Pushcart Prize special mentions, the Studs Terkel Humanities Service Award, and Literacy Chicago's Literacy Hero Award. Seaman has been a writer-in-residence for the Fiction Writing Department at Columbia College Chicago, and a guest editor for Fifth Wednesday. Her reviews and essays have appeared in the Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, Kansas City Star, Creative Nonfiction, and TriQuarterly. Seaman created the fiction anthology In Our Nature: Stories of Wildness, and her author interviews are collected in Writers on the Air: Conversations About Books.
