Stephanie Kip Rostan

Stephanie Kip Rostan joined Levine Greenberg as an agent after four years as an Editor for Bantam Dell and two years as the Book Producer at iVillage.com. As an Editor, she worked on a wide range of fiction and nonfiction, from RITA award-winning romance to literary fiction to true crime to wedding planning. At iVillage, Stephanie spent two years listening to what readers—the over 14 million women who visit the site every month—wanted and why, developing features on book clubs, family and relationships issues, work, home, and diet and fitness. Raised in Andover, Massachusetts, Stephanie is the daughter of a Latin and Greek teacher whose specialty is etymology (ask her dad for a definition and you'll get a minimum of 36 hours of explanation). This early focus on language led to her obsession with crossword puzzles, a term in Germany as an exchange student, and an English/Creative Writing major at Princeton. There she became familiar with the slings and arrows of critique groups and revisions, writing under teachers such as Susan Shreve, Stephen Wright, and Joyce Carol Oates.
