New Student Urban Challenge

Interest was even greater than we expected.  So for now, we are not accepting any more participants for the Urban Challenge.  Thanks to everyone for their speedy replies.

The New Student Urban Challenge is a new event this year on the Columbia College Weeks of Welcome schedule.  The kickoff party for the event will take place on Thursday, August 28th from 7pm - 10pm in the Conaway Center in the 1104 S. Wabash Building.  The event itself begins the next day on the 29th at 11am on the 8th floor of the 1104 building.  Teams of seven students will compete against each other, accruing points by visiting a variety of places throughout the city, solving riddles, and in general, displaying a dazzling spectacle of teamwork and awesomeness.  This is not your parents scavenger hunt folks. Teams can expect to be challenged mentally and physically throughout the contest.  Think Amazing Race meets Jeopardy, settles down and raises a child that thinks he is better than his parents, rebels during his teen years and ends up conquering lands and defeating foes that his parents only dreamed of... sort of...
