Living Learning Communities

Columbia College Chicago offers five Living Learning communities based around a specific theme. All 5 communities are housed at 2 East 8th Street and each one includes 36 new students and one Resident Assistant. Students in Living Learning Communities take two courses together over the academic year. In the fall, students will take Writing & Rhetoric together. In the spring, they will take New Millennium Studies together. Both of these courses are applicable towards graduation requirements. Students will also take part in special program opportunities and have a chance to connect to other students in the community in a unique way. Students residing in a Living Learning community are expected to participate fully in their classes and in programs on the floor.

• Enhance current programs to suit the interests and needs of the floor community.
