We encourage the creation and exhibition of films and videotapes that explore, challenge or subvert mainstream aesthetics, ideology and narrative or documentary structures. These include works whose primary coherence and structure derive from experimental film and video forms as well as other art forms such as music, poetry and painting.
Examples include: Films that mix documentary and fiction Films dominated by mood or atmosphere Films with a surrealistic, expressionistic or abstract style Films with associational or symbolic editing Films with a twisted approach to film genres Films that explore radical political or social issues Films
that express personal, private or subjective states of mind
