At Columbia College Chicago, Communication and Culture students find their voices and explore ways to amplify important news and fresh perspectives. Offering degrees in Journalism and Creative Writing, as well as minors in fields such as broadcast media and voiceover, the school gives students multiple platforms to showcase their work in fiction, poetry, reporting, photojournalism, podcasting, and more. Here, we share examples of that work, highlighting what students can achieve as they master their craft.
Chronicle Staff
This student-led, award-winning campus news source is a multi-media extravaganza. Not only does “The Columbia Chronicle” print out monthly issues, its website features digital stories, podcasts, video, and its Spanish-language edition “La Crónica,” offering an ideal training ground for all kinds of aspiring journalists.
