Biography

Christopher Schneberger is an adjunct faculty member in the Photography Department. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. Recent exhibitions include: The Los Angeles Center for Digital Art and the Annenberg Space for Photography, both in Los Angeles; Dorsky Projects in New York City, Geocarto International in Hong Kong, and Printworks Gallery in Chicago where he is represented. He is two-time recipient of an Illinois Arts Council individual artist grant. He is a founder and board member of Perspective Gallery. He has curated several exhibitions of photography including Realms, This Particular Patch, and Re:Place. He has been a presenter at the Society for Photographic Education’s midwest regional conference, and a visiting artist at numerous colleges including: Kendall College of Art, Delta College, and Western Michigan University. He holds a BFA from the University of Florida and an MFA from Indiana University.

Interests: digital photography, digital imaging, digital printing, film photography, B&W photography, B&W film development and printing, alternative process photography, mixed media photography and art, 3D stereophotography, studio lighting, large format photography. Courses taught: Photographic Practice I, Photographic Practice II, Foundations of Photography I, Foundations of Photography II, Digital Imaging I, Experimental Photographic Techniques, 3D Photography, Foundations of Photography I (film), Darkroom Workshop I.

Creative Practice and Research Interests

Stereophotography (3D), digital imaging, installation, photo compositing, narrative imagery, landscape, spaces, supernatural.
