Clayton Smith is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Business and Entrepreneurship Department, where he teaches marketing, finance, and digital media strategy courses for Columbia. He has extensive experience in social media marketing and communications, having managed social strategies and platforms for brands like Ticketmaster, the NFL, Goodman Theatre, and Lyric Opera of Chicago. Clayton is the co-founder of Media Empire Media, the co-host of the Adult Harder podcast, and an award-winning author. He possesses a Bachelor of Journalism degree with a focus in Strategic Communications from the University of Missouri – Columbia (2004) and a Master of Arts Management degree from Columbia College Chicago (2010).
