Biography

Associate Professor, Theatre Department, teaching scenic design.

Jacqueline Penrod is an award-winning designer of scenery for the stage. Her work has been seen regionally, and across the Chicago area, including; Baltimore Center Stage, Kansas City Rep, Steppenwolf, The Goodman, Lookingglass, Northlight Theatre, and may other Chicago stages. Jacqueline has also worked in devised theatre, developing a practice of integrating puppetry and objects into performance. Jacqueline is a member of the steering committee for the Michael Merritt Awards and Scholarship program. Member of the United Scenic Artists. Jacqueline recieved a B.F.A in theatre design from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana.
