Biography

Jeremy Cohn (He/Him) is an adjunct professor in the Theatre Department teaching Acting, Voice, and Movement. He is a Chicago based actor and musician whose credits include work at the Court Theatre, First Folio, Chicago Dramatists, and The Huntington Theatre Company(Boston) amongst others. His range extends from classical theatre to musical theatre and operetta to film, contemporary productions, and commerical work. He also composes and performs music for theatre and film. He graduated from Boston University with a B.F.A in Acting and also holds a Certificate in Classical Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA). He is a 1600-hour certified teacher of the Alexander Technique, a discipline that teaches performers how to free their voice and movement by building their connection to their body. He runs a private studio on the north side of Chicago and has coached hundreds of clients including Jeff and Grammy award winning artsists and Olympic level athletes.
