Julie E Minbiole

Associate Professor

Dr. Minbiole received her B.S. in Biological Sciences as well as her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences at the University of Illinois Chicago. Her doctoral research focused on the regulation of glutamate receptor abundance by microRNAs at the synapse during embryonic development utilizing Drosophila as a model organism. She continues to collaborate on research projects in the laboratory of her thesis advisor, Dr. David Featherstone. Her current education research focuses on improving course design and instructional techniques to improve student engagement and success in a non-majors undergraduate population.
