Biography

Lilia Arroyo Flores is an adjunct professor in the Communication Department teaching Consumer Behavior and Brand Strategy.

Lilia is a mission-driven bilingual business and marketing strategist passionate about transforming how organizations and brands can tangibly improve peoples’ lives and society at large. For the past 25+ years, Lilia has worked with Fortune 500 companies including: P&G, Coca-Cola and Walmart to successfully market and advertise their brands while delivering amazing customer experiences. Specifically she has led brand strategy development at several prestigious agencies including Leo Burnett, Edelman and FCB. Most recently, Lilia served as Chief Strategy Officer at HAVAS, a global advertising agency.  She has worked closely with C-suite and other senior executives to identify audience/marketplace insights, create a company’s vision/brand purpose, create persuasive brand narratives and measure impact from both a business operations/financial and increasingly social impact perspective.  

Lilia is a graduate of DePaul University, a featured speaker and workshop facilitator at Chicago Ideas Week, American Marketing Association and 4A’s StratFest and winner of several Effie awards which honor the most effective advertising efforts in the industry.

In addition, Lilia is an outspoken advocate for underserved communities and currently serves on the National Board of Directors of The Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE) and Business and Professional People for the Public Interest (BPI).
