Biography
Margaret Larkin teaches Podcasting and Smartphone Audio in the Communication department as part of the adjunct faculty at Columbia College Chicago.
Margaret is an Audio Producer and Social Media Manager for the Green Sense Radio podcast, which also airs every week on WBBM Newsradio as the Green Sense Minute. She established her business Metrolingua LLC when she started podcasting in 2009. She interviews journalists for the Illinois News Broadcasters Association podcast and media pros for her own Radiogirl livestream and podcast. Her radio experience includes WGN Radio and WBBM Newsradio.
An Evanston native, Margaret has lived on the north side of Chicago for more than 25 years. She double-majored in American Studies and English at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts and earned a master's degree in Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She teaches workplace computer skills, and has been teaching English and basic computer skills to immigrants at the City Colleges of Chicago for several years.
