Matthew P. Andersen, Assistant Professor in the Department of American Sign Language (SIGN), and he teaches all levels of American Sign Language and several of Deaf Studies related courses. Matthew's interest lies in remote education and is currently in the process of contributing bodies of research on various topics relating to sign language education and digital tools. Matthew is one of the Columbia College 2020 Excellence in Teaching Award recipients. He holds a Master's degree in Sign Language Education (Gallaudet University, 2019) and a Bachelor in Science in Visual Communication and Advertising/Public Relations (Rochester Institution of Technology, 2008)
