Biography

Ron Fleischer is an Associate Professor and coordinates the Traditional Animation Program in Interactive Arts and Media. He has worked professionally in the animation industry for over 35 years and was recognized for his contributions to broadcast series animation receiving Emmy recognition and a Peabody Award for his work on Steven Spielberg's Animaniacs. His award-winning animated shorts have played to worldwide audiences in dozens of festivals garnering many awards including the Chicago Award at the 40th Chicago International Film Festival.

Ron continues to write, produce, and direct animation and is currently in production on his next animated project, Sisyphus Rocks It!. He has been a full-time faculty member of Columbia College Chicago since 2002.
