WCRX is committed to the community by airing programming that is responsive to the interests and needs of our listeners. We carry a variety of public service programming.

The following programs air during our weekend schedule:

Friday Night

Every Friday Night 9PM to Midnight, the longest running dance music show.  Some of the hottest DJs in the Chicago area share some of music to get your weekend going.


Saturday Morning


To The Best Of Our Knowledge 7am
• Outerviews 7:30am Saturday (During the semester)
• Edicion Semanaria "Weekly Summary" from Radio Bilingue Latino Public Radio Network 8am
Making Contact 8:30am Saturday and 51% (women's issues) Saturday  morning 9am.

You can also catch the WCRX Public Affairs block every Saturday morning between 7am and 10am.

 Sunday Morning

You can also catch the WCRX Podcast Broadcast block every Sunday morning between 10 - noon, featuring some of our favorite locally produced podcasts.  Tune in and see some of the work Chicagoans have to offer.

 

The Annual WCRX Holly Jolly Food Drive

The WCRX-FM Holly Jolly Food Drive and Live Broadcast, bringing in Chicago politicians and personalities the first two weeks of December to place a spotlight on the need of food for. During the past 10 years, WCRX has collected more than 5,000 pounds of food and raised over $35,000 dollars for the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Our collective efforts have fed thousands of people during the holiday season.
