Columbia Curie Award

for incoming students

Students who graduate from Marie Sklodowska Curie Metropolitan High School with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and are admitted to Columbia College Chicago are guaranteed a renewable Columbia Curie Award.

 

The Columbia Curie Award is open to:

  • Exceptional high school seniors who are enrolled at Marie Sklodowska Curie Metropolitan High School at the time of admission to Columbia, or who have graduated from Marie Sklodowska Curie Metropolitan High School no more than 12 months prior to admission
  • Admitted students entering for the first time in the Fall 2024 semester
  • Students who have earned a cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)

Please note: Recipients of the Columbia Curie Award are not eligible for the Chicago STAR Scholarship, Dean’s Scholarship, Columbia CPS Award, Columbia Creatives Award, Columbia Senn Award, Columbia Dyett Award, Columbia Kelvyn Park Award, Columbia Lane Tech Award, Columbia ChiArts Award, Columbia Westinghouse Award, Columbia OneGoal Award, or Columbia Excellence Award.

Award based on:
  • Academic achievement

Renewable award amount based on Curie High School GPA:

  • 3.75 or higher: $15,000
  • 3.55 — 3.74: $14,500
  • 3.3 — 3.54: $13,500
  • 3.0 — 3.29: $10,500

Notification of the award:

  • Recipients will be notified by Admissions.
