Dennis attended the Theater School at DePaul University and received his BFA from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. Dennis had considerable experience in design including DAB Enterprises, his own menswear label, designer for Hart Schaffner and Marx, and designing costume for Chicago theater productions. Dennis' teaching experience included part and full-time at Columbia College of Chicago, The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, DePaul University, the International Academy of Merchandising and Design, and City Colleges of Chicago. He created and established the original Fashion Design Program curriculum that was part of the Art & Design Department at Columbia College Chicago. Dennis served as a member of a number of professional and scholarly Chicago, national and international organizations.
Dianne Erpenbach (retired), Associate Professor Emerita
Dianne Erpenbach is a retired professor emerita from the Fashion Studies Department at Columbia College Chicago. Dianne taught at Columbia for 20 years. She was president of the Columbia College Faculty Organization, which in 1997 established a tenured program for faculty members. According to her, this was a big step for the college toward recognizing the worth of its educators. Dianne made significant contributions to the culture of her times while at Columbia, all while keeping within the college’s overall mission. Since retiring, Dianne is focusing her time on family and traveling while remaining involved with fashion organizations and consulting.
