f8 Photography Award

For continuing undergraduate students

The f8 Photography Award was established to assist undergraduate Photography majors in defraying the costs of photography equipment, supplies, framing costs, and other items needed to complete a photography project.

• How to Apply

  Visit Internal Scholarships and click on APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS to access the Photography Department Scholarships Spring 2023 application. Only complete scholarship applications submitted by the deadline will be reviewed by the award committee. 

  Please follow all directions carefully. Students must submit the following materials to make a complete f8 Photography Award application. There are two parts to the application:

  PART 1: BUDGET
  
  Submit a budget detailing the costs of equipment, supplies, framing costs, and other items needed to complete your project.
  
  Your budget must include your name and MyColumbia ID number in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Please upload your budget in .pdf, .doc, or .docx format.
  
  PART 2: PROJECT STATEMENT
  
  Provide a brief description of your photography project.

   
  
  Access online applications through Internal Scholarships.

• Award Terms
  • Application must be submitted by November 18, 2022 (11:59 pm) for review by the committee
  • Award amount is a stipend up to $500
  • Recipients must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours during the Spring 2023 semester
  • Recipients will receive the stipend by the start of the Spring 2023 semester
  • The rules and regulations governing other sources of financial aid (federal, state, institutional and other grants, gifts, or loans) will apply
  • Columbia College Chicago reserves the right to withhold the award in any year in which, at the sole discretion of the scholarship committee, suitable candidates cannot be found among applicants

• 12:00AM - 11:55PM 2024-25 Degree Completion Assistance Grant Application Deadline
  The Degree Completion Assistance Grant provides financial support to juniors and seniors who are nearing graduation, and who can demonstrate that receiving assistance from the grant will help them in achieving their academic goals.
