Global Bridge Scholarship

for continuing international students

The Global Bridge Scholarship was established to provide tuition assistance to undergraduate, international students in their junior and senior year who have experienced financial difficulties in completing their degree.

• How to be Considered

  Complete the Global Bridge Scholarship application and provide any additional supporting documentation that supports your application. 

• Scholarship Terms
  • The Global Bridge Scholarship is renewable each year up to 4 semesters (BA, BFA, BS, BMus). The total credit hours include all transferable college credit hours, CLEP hours, Advanced Placement hours, and credit hours earned at other college/universities under dual enrollment. At least 15 credits of the minimum 60 credits must be completed at Columbia.  For the scholarship to be renewable, the recipient must:
    
    • Be enrolled full-time each Fall and Spring semester;
    • Not interrupt enrollment;
    • Meet the terms of Columbia's Satisfactory Academic Progress policy, including maintaining a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average and a 67% completion rate of all credit hours attempted.
  • Maximum renewable scholarship amount is $3,000, awarded half in Fall and half in Spring; scholarship does not apply to Summer semesters;
  • Scholarship is applied toward tuition only;
  • The rules governing other sources of financial aid (federal, state, institutional and other grants, gifts, or loans) will apply.

• 12:00AM - 11:55PM 2024-25 Degree Completion Assistance Grant Application Deadline
  The Degree Completion Assistance Grant provides financial support to juniors and seniors who are nearing graduation, and who can demonstrate that receiving assistance from the grant will help them in achieving their academic goals.
