Haystack Fellowship and Arts Administration Paid Intern Program

For continuing undergraduate and graduate students

Through a collaboration between the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Maine and the office of Academic Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Columbia College Chicago, the Haystack Fellowship and Arts Administration Paid Intern Program offers opportunities for Columbia College ALAANA (African, Latinix, Asian, Arab and Native American), LGBTQIA, and international students of color to receive fellowships to one of Haystack's two-week summer workshops. One of the awardees will have the opportunity to take a three-week position at Haystack as an intern training in arts administration.

Deadline to Apply: February 21, 2020

 

The Haystack Fellowship and Arts Administration Paid Intern Program is open to:
  • Undergraduate and graduate ALAANA (African, Latinx, Asian, Arab and Native American), LGBTQIA, and international students of color;
  • Students who have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, are in good academic standing, and will have no outstanding incompletes at the end of the Spring 2020 semester;
  • Priority consideration is given to graduate students and undergraduate juniors or seniors returning for their final year or semester in Fall 2020.
Fellowship includes:
  • Provided by Haystack: A fully funded placement in one of Haystack's session two workshops to take place June 21 - July 3, 2020, a $500 travel reimbursement, and room and board;
  • Provided by Columbia's office of Academic Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: $100 toward shop fees and materials.

Arts Administration Internship includes:

  • A three-week position with a stipend of $2,000, along with continued room and board.

  • All applicants will be notified by email in March 2020.
