Chicago's First Lady Visits Columbia for Chicago Learning Exchange Meetup

This week, Columbia hosted the January meetup of the Chicago Learning Exchange – a nonprofit program that works with a community of youth-serving organizations to close Chicago’s opportunity gap for students.

The event took place in the school’s Conaway Center and featured Chicago’s first lady, Amy Eshleman, representing the City of Chicago’s Mayoral Office.

Mindy Faber, Program Director of the Convergence Design Lab in Columbia’s School of Media Arts, says it’s an honor to once again host the Chicago Learning Exchange and be joined by Eshleman.

The monthly meetup includes hands-on workshops, presentations, and dedicated time and space to connect with like-minded education professionals. The partnership between Columbia and CLX (formerly Chicago Hive Network) spans nearly seven years.
