Designing Bandages: Curad Competition Scores Students Cash Prizes

Students from Columbia College Chicago’s Fashion Studies department participated in a design competition sponsored by Medline, the maker of Curad bandages. The challenge: To create designs for Curad bandages and/or their sports tapes and wraps.  

Congratulations to rising junior Joelle Olabode for her winning design (Flowers) and to rising senior Joey Zanetti who was named runner-up (Balloons). Both students will receive cash awards, with Olabode winning $2,500 and Zanetti taking home $1,000. Winners were selected by Medline’s consumer marketing and design teams. 

This is the second year that Medline has partnered exclusively with Columbia College Chicago in this design competition. The experience provides Columbia students a unique opportunity to create designs for the company’s next generation of product launches.
