Amy Dordek Dolinsky, Partner and Director of Business Development at Lucas James Talent Partners, and Michael Swanson, Senior Vice President of Production at NBCUniversal Media, LLC, have been named to Columbia's Board of Trustees.

Columbia College Chicago is proud to announce that it has named two distinguished leaders to its Board of Trustees:  Amy Dordek Dolinsky, Partner and Director of Business Development at Lucas James Talent Partners, and Michael Swanson, Senior Vice President, Production at NBCUniversal Media, LLC. Their appointments reflect the College’s ongoing commitment to strengthening governance, expanding industry partnerships, and advancing its position as a premier institution for arts, media, and communication education.

Amy Dordek Dolinsky, a parent of a Columbia alumnus, joins the Board as a deeply respected civic, entrepreneurial, and business leader in Chicago. Most recently a Partner and Director of Business Development at Lucas James Talent Partners, she has spent her career at the intersection of entrepreneurship, workforce innovation, and civic engagement. Widely recognized for her work to advance women in business and expand inclusive economic growth, Dordek Dolinsky has played a pivotal role in shaping Chicago’s innovation ecosystem. Her strategic mindset, extensive network, and demonstrated commitment to regional advancement will bring valuable insight to Columbia’s efforts to elevate partnerships, strengthen visibility, and deepen community engagement.

Michael Swanson, based in Los Angeles, is an acclaimed media executive and entertainment industry strategist. Currently serving as Senior Vice President, Production at NBCUniversal Media, LLC, Swanson has built a distinguished career in film, television, and digital media. His leadership expertise aligns directly with Columbia’s core strengths in creative industries, emerging media, and storytelling. A champion for workforce access and student mentorship, he has long been committed to creating pathways for early-career creatives. His national industry perspective will be instrumental in guiding Columbia’s continued stability, enhancing student opportunities, and reinforcing the College’s stature as a leader in media and entertainment education.

The appointment of Dordek Dolinsky and Swanson comes at a pivotal moment for Columbia, as the College continues to expand its academic offerings, deepen industry partnerships, and strengthen its national presence. Both will join the Board at its February 11, 2026, meeting and will begin participating immediately in strategic planning discussions and committee assignments.
